Bhagavad Gita, one of the most sacred scriptures of India is based on the dialogues between Lord Krishna and prince Arjuna, occurred in the battle-field of Kuru Kshethra. This is one of the most famous scriptures and we can find thousands of commentaries on it.
This year gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji is giving a commentary on 14th chapter with its practical relevence in our life . In 14th chapter Lord krishna Explains to Arjuna the understanding of 3 modes of material nature.
In order to provide the means by which we can detach ourselves from the three gunas, Shri Krishna reveals this teaching in the fourteenth chapter called The Yoga of the Threefold Gunas (Gunatraya Vibhaga Yoga). All embodied souls are under the control of the three modes, or qualities, of material nature; goodness, passion and ignorance. Lord Krishna explains what these modes are, how they act upon us, how one transcends them, and the symptoms of one who has attained the transcendental state.
