What is Wellness?

Today, universally the term ‘wellness’ is understood to mean:

  • A conscious, positive, self-propelled process of achieving one’s full potential.
  • A truly multi dimensional approach towards life which covers physical, emotional, intellectual & spiritual aspects of an individual.
  • A holistic approach to lifestyle towards mental and spiritual well-being.
  • Understanding the subtle interactions of the environment on the individual.
  • A paradigm shift from ‘disease’ to ‘health’ happens.

Thus, when one begins to apply the ‘wellness’ approach to one’s daily life, a whole host of possibilities open up. One gets more aware of the physical, emotional, intellectual & spiritual aspects impacting each other.

Program Content

The Wellness Program is a structured program, designed to take you through the various effective and practical wellness practices available in modern day. The program rests on the three legs of Ayurveda, Yoga and Education.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda

Simple and practical aspects of Ayurveda, (translated as the science of life), are taught in the program. The timeless knowledge of this ancient Indian science prescribes cures as well as ways to stay healthy. These knowledge opens up new dimensions to live life naturally and with good health.

Rejuvenating Asanas which improves flexibility, body posture and body alignment

Yoga

Yoga is not merely a set of exercises, it is an attitude that leads to balance. The program includes asanas, pranayamas (breathing exercises) and meditations which are very essential in balancing or harmonizing all aspects of our existence — the gross and the subtle body, and the mind.

Education

Education

Awareness through scientific education about different aspects of our life is the third emphasis. In this program, one will learn about the effects of food, understanding the nature of body and mind and discover a holistic way of living life suited to your unique personality type or Prakruti.

Duration: 10-12 hours program (3 hours over 4 continues days)

Age: 18 and above
