Travel by Flight
Bengaluru is well connected by flights from all over India and abroad. The airport name is Kempegowda International Airport (KIA).
Reaching Ashram from Airport
- After you come out of the airport, walk towards BMTC Bus Station.
- Get into Bus number KIA-5 which goes to Banashankari. It is a fully A/C bus and has space to keep your luggage. This bus runs every 1 hour. Take ticket to the last stop ‘Banashankari Temple’. The travel time is approximately 2 hours.
- After you get down at Banashankari Bus Terminal, board the bus # 211 or board the bus that is going to ‘Kanakapura Road’.
- Get down at Ashram Bus Stop (also known as Art of Living Ashram stop / Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ashram stop).
- The nearest metro station to Bangalore Airport is the Sandal Soap Factory Metro Station. From the airport, you can book a cab till here. It will take 45 minutes.
- Or you can get into any BMTC Vayu Vajra bus from the airport and get down at Mekhri Circle. Take a bus or auto to Sandal Soap Factory metro station. It is just 5 kilometres from Mekhri Circle.
- From Sandal Soap Factory metro station, take a ticket to Silk Institute Metro Station. This journey will take approximately 40 minutes.
- Get down at Silk Institute Metro Station. Come out of the station.
- Now Ashram is only 3 kilometres away. You can book an Ola cab or take the public bus and reach Ashram.
- This is the cheapest form of transport. In 2021, a railway station has been inaugurated near to Bangalore airport. It is called Kempegowda International Airport Devanahalli (KIAD) railway station. It is 3.5 kilometers from airport. From airport, free shuttle service is available to the station.
- Trains depart to various parts of city like Kempegowda Station, Yeshvanthpur, Yelahanka and Bengaluru Cantonment.
- Take ticket and get down at Kempegowda Railway Station.
- After you get down at Kempegowda Railway Station, You can reach Ashram by Metro or by Bus.
Traveling by Bus
- After you come out of the railway station, walk straight to the Kempegowda Bus Station (also known as Majestic Bus Stand) on the opposite side.
- Go to platform # 11 and take the bus that goes to ‘Banashankari Temple’.
- After you get down at Banashankari Bus Terminal, board the bus # 211 or board the bus that is going to ‘Kanakapura Road’.
- Get down at Ashram Bus Stop (also known as Art of Living Ashram stop / Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ashram stop).
Travelling by Metro
- After you come out of the railway station, go to Kempegowda Metro Station on the opposite site.
- There are 2 lines in Bengaluru Metro – Green and Purple line. Travel by the Green line.
- Take ticket for ‘Silk Institute’ Metro Station. As of now, this is the last station on Green Line. This journey will take 33 minutes.
- After you get down at Silk Institute metro station, book an Ola cab or take public bus. Ashram is only 3 kilometers away.

There are 3 main stations in Bengaluru, namely
- KSR (also known as Majestic or Kempegowda Station or Bengaluru City Junction),
- Krishnarajapuram (KR Puram) and
- Yeshvanthpur Junction
Reaching Ashram from railway station
Travelling by Bus

- Take an auto or public bus and reach ‘Baiyappanahalli Metro Station’ which is the first metro station on the purple line.
- Take ticket for Kempegowda Metro Station. This journey will take 25 minutes.
- Get down at Kempegowda Metro Station. Take escalator and go to Green Line platform.
- Take ticket for Silk Institute Metro Station. This is the last station on Green Line. This journey will take about 35 minutes.
- Get down at Silk Institute Metro Station. Come out of station.
- Now Ashram is only 3 kilometers away. You can book Ola cab or take the public bus and reach Ashram.
Travelling by Metro
- Come out of Yeshvanthpur Railway Station.
- Yeshvanthpur Metro station is right opposite the railway station.
- Take ticket for Silk Institute Metro station. This is the last Metro station on Green line. Journey will take 41 minutes.
- Get down at Silk Institute Metro Station. Come out of station.
- Now Ashram is only 3 kilometers away. You can book Ola cab or take the public bus and reach Ashram.
